SON – Standard Organization of Nigeria
This helps to make sure that manufacturers adhere strictly to the standard of specification given to them. Any company that meets this standard would have its produce stamped NIS, meaning Nigerian Industries Standard.
EPA – Environmental Protection Agency
This makes sure that goods are produced in a healthy environment to avoid contamination.
PCB – Price Control Board
This is established to help check prices of goods so that sellers do not inflate prices at will.
NDLEA – National Drug Law Enforcement Agency
This helps to check against drug trafficking, educating people against drug abuse and punishing culprits.
NAFDAC – National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control
This agency is bestowed with many responsibilities to make sure that consumers are protected. Some of its functions are:
1, To ensure that food and drugs produced in Nigeria meet the required standard.
2, To ensure that goods are produced in a hygienic environment.
3, To discourage the production of fake drugs and junk foods.
4, To test new products make sure that they meet the required standard before distribution.
5, NAFDAC also punishes those that do not adhere to the above laws.

This was set up to avoid landlords exploiting and intimidating their tenants.
CEPA – Consumer Education Protection Agency
This helps to educate consumers on their rights so that they will not be intimidated or cheated during the course of buying goods and services.
